Assemblies

Assemblies

We have been fortunate to have good enough weather to hold some of our recent assemblies outside on the field and in our wildlife Discovery Area.  It has been lovely to sit, reflect, listen and pray in such a beautiful space and listen to the sounds of the Valley all around us.  We hope to continue this work with our Vicar Jane – both through Messy Church Club sessions outside and also through the creation of an outside reflection area and dedicated space for worship in the Discovery Area which will enable us to use this space more for assemblies when we are blessed with good weather.

The 2021 project was run jointly by ATTA and Friends of St Nicholas. It is always windy and cold on St Catherine’s Hill, but this year it was ARCTIC! The wind was so strong and icy that the lantern bags were folded over right away, but in spite of that we displayed a total of… Continue Reading

Remembrance

Remembrance

On the 11th of November, at 11am, the school and pre-school assembled on the front lawn, to hold a short service to commemorate the fallen. Eggardon read poems and the younger children laid wreaths they had made at the feet of two silhouettes – a nurse and a soldier.  Thank you to all the children… Continue Reading
