Science Day
A huge thank you to the TSA for paying for Wonderlab who visited the school today.
The whole school was treated to an amazing range of rocket based experiments – with explosions galore and even a rocket powered car.
After the hour long show, the children went off into groups to design and create their own rocket which we then all fired, using compressed air, in the school field (and beyond!) – with the longest travelling 150 metres!
In the afternoon, KS2 made a series of battery powered cars and raced their designs against one another.
It was wonderful for the children to meet an amazing scientist and witness things which we simply can’t do as a primary school in this area of the curriculum.
