Thorner’s Pupils’ Wonderful Ideas
Supporting our frontline workers – Cheer for Carers
We decided to paint a rainbow on one of their orphan lambs!
We have been busy making Scrub bags (For the Love of Scrubs) and helping with Scrubs!
Staff in Dorset County Hospital are taking staff photos at the hospital to put on the website to thank the public for staying at home and for all their generous donations. Ben coloured in this sign which we are including in our laboratory photos.
Our neighbour is the manager of a care home in Sherborne which is very stressful at the moment. The residents aren’t allowed family to visit so we made some cards for them.
We took part in the National Youth Orchestra’s mass home performance of Ode to Joy on the 16th at 5pm for the NHS. Really fun, we dressed up as if we were in an orchestra, and Lyra played it on the recorder while I sang in German (my mum is German so she sang too in her garden in Bournemouth!). It’s not every day you get to belt out Beethoven in your village at the top of your voice!
Last Thursday Casey-May sang Amazing Grace to our neighbours but for the NHS and Key workers, Dorchester County Hospital posted it on there FB page and it went crazy from there, she was on spotlight on Friday night and today it’s in the Bridport news.
This is also for you and for all the teachers at Thorner’s, you all are doing an Amazing job. THANK YOU
